Peoria residents are in for a treat this fall as the Parks and Recreation Department announces an exciting nighttime fishing event with a spooky twist. “Boos and Bottom Feeders: A Nighttime Catfish Clinic” is set to illuminate Rio Vista Community Park on October 25, 2025, combining Halloween festivities with practical fishing education. The event promises to deliver both thrills and skills as participants learn to catch catfish under the stars while enjoying seasonal celebrations.

“We wanted to create something that brings families together outdoors while teaching valuable fishing techniques,” said a representative from Peoria Parks and Recreation. “The Halloween theme adds an element of fun that appeals to all ages, and the nighttime setting offers a unique opportunity to learn specialized fishing approaches that many recreational anglers never experience.”

The Halloween-themed fishing clinic aims to clarify nighttime angling through hands-on instruction led by experienced fishing guides.
